Structure:

Hybrid online format, combining synchronous and asynchronous learning.

Nine modules over 9 weeks, including a preparatory Module 0.

Focus Areas:

Fundraising ethics, giving trends, prospect research, and annual fundraising planning for unrestricted funds using a multi-channel approach.

Commitment

This course is similar to a college-level class and requires approximately 9 hours per week:

  • 3–4 hours of asynchronous work: Reading articles and watching videos.
  • 1.5 hours: Synchronous live sessions on Zoom.
  • 3 hours: Project work.
  • 0.5 hour: Virtual office hours with the instructor.

About Your Instructor


Dr. Nathan A. Schaumleffel, CPRE, ACNP, CFRM, CVA, CYSA, is the Proprietor and Senior Consultant of Driven Strategic LLC, specializing in consulting for nonprofit organizations, parks and recreation, and park foundations. He serves as Chief Consultant to the National Association of Park Foundations and is an Associate Professor at Indiana State University. With a Ph.D. in Recreation, Sport, & Tourism, he brings expertise in youth and community development. Dr. Schaumleffel's dedication to parks and community development has made him a respected leader in the field.
