The National Association of Park Foundations (NAPF) is dedicated exclusively to building the capacity of park foundations and friends groups. By providing information, education, advocacy and networking opportunities, we help our members focus their energy on the people and communities they serve. Park foundations and friends groups across the country who join NAPF receive a wide variety of member benefits.
"With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector as both an executive and a volunteer board member, I have participated in numerous strategic planning processes. Unfortunately, many of those plans have ended up sitting on a shelf, with little to no action taken. However, my experience working with Kevin Korenthal of the National Association of Park Foundations (NAPF) to develop a strategic plan for the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District Foundation has been truly transformative. Kevin’s innovative approach to strategic planning has resulted in a plan that not only includes actionable activities but also provides a clear roadmap to success—an outcome unparalleled in my professional experience."

"When we re-established our park foundation, NAPF was one of our first calls, serving as a valuable resource for best practices in establishing our parks and foundation relationship and ensuring we had the right elements in place at every step. "

"We are grateful for the invaluable assistance from the National Association of Park Foundations (NAPF). Their guidance on IRS designation and best practices for our Memorial Naming Program has been crucial. I am also a student in their fundraising course. We're excited about PenMet Parks Foundation's future and eager to learn more through our association with the NAPF."
